Collective Securtiy

Charlie Hill is one of the smartest guys I know. He's a master carpenter, potter, sculptor and can play guitar like nobody's business. His installation "Collective Security" is the only time an artist has set the gallery on it's side. Do so he exposed the tripod I usually sit the gallery on as a visual feature pushing the concept of an entity or community that's always watching or being watched.

Lisa Houha post card exchange.

My friend Lisa and I have sent each other post cards over the years. This show was a retrospective of the ones she sent me from 2000-2004. The show was in the glass hallway overlooking the Art Museum at the University of Memphis.

The first 2x2 Gallery exhibit

This show happened on the corner across from the Jay Etkin Gallery on South Main in Memphis TN. The gallery used to have battery powered spots that I modified so that the batteries fit into the base of the gallery. It took awhile to set up. I now use electricity that exist in the space I've been invited into or a car battery with a converter if no electricity is available.
